Our reception room has very tall ceilings. Would you get tall centerpieces to accentuate the tallness of the room, or low centerpieces to not take away from the tall ceilings. Would people get annoyed with the tall centerpieces because they're in the way? Please help. I'm so confused.

Re: Centerpiece question
Tall centerpieces are usually designed to be mostly above eye level. There might be a small pole or stand but the floral part is usually higher.
I have a personal preference for low centerpieces, but don't go by me, my tastes are not the norm.

Re: Centerpiece question
I had the same dilemma. I thought we should get the tall since our room has high ceilings but my mother hates the tall ones. Just ask your florist. If they have done weddings at your location they should be able to give you an idea of what it looks like...maybe even some pics. Our florist said it wasn't necessary so we ended up with the low centerpieces.

Re: Centerpiece question
My florist told me High centerpieces are for rooms with high ceilings. I wanted ones on pedestals, but my room has low ceilings. High centerpieces, brings the eye upwards accentuating the high ceilings, but high centerpieces in low ceilinged rooms, cuts the room in half and makes it look smaller.
