Hi girls! I have to begin my flower planning and I am extremely torn about what types of centerpieces to do.. 1 Tall or 2 Lows w/votives on each table. I attached a picture of my table...What do you think would look better? Thanks!
I love the look of long tables with a few small arrangements and votives.

Re: Centerpiece question...
Are you in Astor? We had (I don't have photo scanned of our CP with me...let me see what I can attach that *may* sorta show it) tall vases filled with 12 white calla lilies and little votives around each vase. We did a mirror base, which reflected the candle light very pretty! FM me for more details. PS: WM is amazing!
I always prefer low centerpeices. Just don't like the tall ones, they seem to overshadow the whole table. JMO!

Yes, I am in Astor.. I am very excited! I don't live in LI, but my parents and family do, and the Watermill seems to be a great place :) Your pics are beautiful - I can see your CPs.. they look great!

It's a beautiful place. Living right near there all my life I never thought I would get married there. Mind you, I'd never gone in, but I just didn't think I'd pick it because I used to drive past everyday. When I walked in (DH wanted to go see it) I fell in love. If you need any advice or have questions feel free to contact me. You won't have a thing to fret over with WM. :) The CPs were also high enough that they didn't block anyone's view. Low is also a very beautiful look, though. Especially with the oblong tables. PS: no matter what they tell you, don't do more than 10 or 11 to a table. It gets tight there beyond that.

You'll work it out. We had a few 13s but everyone was up and dancing the whole night, so it didn't matter. We had 165 including us and it was perfect.
You design the seating arrangement but they explain it all at your final meeting.

Re: Centerpiece question...
If this makes any sense - nothing too low, and nothing too high. I know people will have to look at it, but if it's too low it'll get lost among the china on the tables. High CP would just be too much. How about a medium vase w/calla's.

Re: Centerpiece question...
I was just there for my nieces sweet sixteen in the same room. She used a high centerpice which was beautiful when you walked in. However, if I had a long table like that I like the idea of using like four square vases along the table with rose petals scattered it's really nice to see when you are dining at the table. Either way its a great room and a beautful place. Good luck

I actually think a long centerpiece would lookk great- maybe something with rose petals and candles going down most of the length of the table:

I totally agree. I was at a wedding that had long tables like that. The bride had 3 very small centerpieces (low glass vases) on the table. It was beautiful!!
