Centerpiece Sample

Centerpiece Sample

This is my centerpiece sample. I am going to making some changes to it. I will add more Peonies and more roses, and I will take out the Gerbers.

My question to you guys is what do you think about the Vase? I was thinking about doing a stand instead but I can't do a tall stand because the Ceilings at the Swan Club are kind of low. I don't think A Urn would hold much flowers. Should I keep it are use something else

Thanks

Lenie

Re: Centerpiece Sample

I think the arrangement is really pretty but I'd love to see it in a taller vase. Maybe a tall, clear one and they can put water and pink orchids (or something) in the base of the vase? My florist did this for a sample and it looked really nice. The main arrangement sits on top, the vase is clear and then there's just a pink orchid (or some other flower) suspended in the water.

i like the current vase, but i agree with jennie that the arrangement might look nice in a slightly taller vase. LOVE the peonies and roses combination!!

If I head up there soon, I'll take a pic for you It's in Westchester. They're pretty cool looking vases--tall and sort of squarish. If you can imagine it, it's all filled with water and then there's this flower suspended in the middle. It's nice for visual interest but it also doesn't block the guests' view, which is nice. Sorry I don't have a pic!

I think it is beautiful, but you might want a taller vase primarily because the centerpiece might block your guests' vision.

I think it's beautifupl, but is a very bad height. How aer your guests supposed to talk to each other? I think the vase needs to be a lot taller or a lot shorter.

i agree. however, i think you should do a shorter vase because you said the room has low ceilings. IMO, tall stands look better in rooms with high ceilings. What about a glass bubble vase or the small silver bowls?
BTW- I love the colors!

I totally agree. I have a room with low ceilings, so my centerpiece will be very low on the tables.

I love the flowers though. it's so pretty!

I also think it would look better in either a smaller vase or a higher vase..im going to attach a pic of the vase Im using.
Its the tallest one in the pic, 24inches in height.

This is kinda like what my florist is doing..the roses are going to be in a dish which will be placed in the opening of the vase, so the only thing you will see in the body of the vase will be a rose standing staight up.

Thanks Ladies,

I was thinking about the taller vase but I think it might be a little too tall for the room I might have to go with the square vase that is much shorter like this one but much bigger. I also included a picture of my room
