ok, so I just called Flowers bybrian to see if I could schedule a time to come in to see my centerpiece samples.
The sales woman told me that since I had booked so far in advance that I could see samples about this same time of the year as the wedding which is now...so I called and booked an appt...the guy was like 'don't you think it's a little early for the sample' I booked the appt anyway.
so how many girls have seen samples a year out from the wedding?
I know its early, but I know the flowers this time of the year will be the same as next year, so I thought that was best.
Am i crazy?
ETA: I didn't have a problem booking, he made the appt no problem, he was just calling to my attention that it might be a bit early to see a sample...

Your not crazy! You need to be able to see what they look like in order to know how everything else should look. What a jerk!

that's weird. i told flowers by brian that i wouldn't book with them unless i saw a sample first. i set up an appointment the following week to see my sample. i ultimately didn't go with them, but they didn't seem to have a problem making me one.

You should totally be able to see a sample now! Personally I would have asked to see one before officially booking.
I booked my original florist before the year mark and I saw a sample the day I booked. When I booked the new florist, I went for an initial meeting and then officially booked when I went back 2 weeks later to see the sample.
I would ask to speak with someone else.

just edited my post....He gave me not problem with booking the appt but just called to my attn that it may be early to see the sample.
i have no problem booking with them before seeing a sample because im confident in their work..had a friend use them...but I wanted to see if other girls had their samples done early

i saw mine this week only because im using pumpkins in the CP so i wanted to see a samples this year during pumpkin season in case the pumpkins were a crazy unattractive idea
FYI they so werent a bad idea! i love the pumpkins it really makes the CP! if you go to Flowers By Brian this week my sample might still be on display i might be biased but in my opinion the pumpkin CP is the best!

Def not crazy. This is the time of year you are getting married and you want to see what is available. Duh! Some people make me laugh.
I had called a hall and asked if there would be another wedding at the time as mine. The woman asked me why I cared. People have nerve.
