Centerpiece Success!
So, I started my day on Saturday by going to Carroll's Florist in Staten Island. The person I met with was nice but she wanted to charge me - wait for it - $250 for a small centerpiece to fit into the candelabra provided by my hall. This was made of hydranga and some roses.
Clearly, that was more than I thought it was worth.
So, I went on to Florist number two - Moravian Florist (also in Staten Island). They wanted to charge me $130 for the same thing. Better, but not quite good enough.
Finally, just as I was giving up hope I went to Sam Gregorio's florist on Forrest Avenue in Staten Island. This florist was recommended by a friend of a friend that is also getting married and also one of the girls on the board suggested them.
As soon as I walked in I felt at ease. I met with Sam. He was awesome! He totally understood my vision. He made me up a sample centerpiece right on the spot that was amazing and totally worked with my budget.
Later that night I went to the hall and saw the candelabras at the hall and they were HORRIBLE! Now I was panicked because renting candelabras would totally blow my budget. I called Sam first thing Sunday morning and he agreed to throw in the sand colored sahara roses that he was charging me $10 per centerpiece for and only charge me $10 to rent each candelabra! He is so awesome and I am so glad I found them!
Anyone on Staten Island that is looking for a florist I highly recommend them!
