The reception is costing us way over 20,000 so we're trying to keep vendor costs to under 7500 total. Anyone have suggestions for inexpensive centerpieces or any great florist vendors that aren't expensive?

Re: centerpieces
we wanted to save money also...so for the centerpieces we are doing candles instead of flowers. We are doing this candle garden and we are putting votives around them. In total it is costing us less than $30 a piece. HTH
I agree about doing candle centerpieces, instead of floral, you'll save tons that way. Good luck!
ETA:: In regards to less expensive florists, I was told to check out National Floral Wholesalers (vendor on here), Signature Florist, and Flowers by Burton.

Re: centerpieces
I'm doing candle centerpieces instead. I'll change the colors, but same basic ideas. Plus I'm doing the votive placecards to enhance the centerpiece.
we used flowers by burton and although some brides have been unhappy with them we loved our flowers and they were the best prices around. any flower for the same price!

Re: centerpieces
im thinking of doing candle centerpieces as well to combat that problem...
CJB, those are so pretty, but doesn't the wax melt and get on the table cloths? I would be worried about extra charges from the hall for getting the wax off. Any idea about that?

Re: centerpieces
Our venue has candelabras for $20 a table, including the candles. Plus they're providing votives. We're doing that. Does your venue have any rentals?

Definately try www.jennblossoms.com- She has been amazing- you could do a simple candle centerpiece and she will even set up for you. Jenn is a doll- my flowers- all orchids, two arrangements, and set up for 680 total.
