We`re not sure of which arrangement we`re going with ... it will either be a mix dominated with Sunflowers, or 3 dozen roses. Either way, it will be a raised centerpiece, on those clear tubes filled with water and some flowers or filler dropped into it. Just so you know, the tubes are rented, but the arrangements lift off the top for the 'lucky' guests to take home. To determine the winner, we`ll figure on using some game with the dj, who will inform the guests to only take the arrangement.

I'm doing candle centerpieces. Its a cherub statue with a candle , almost like a unity candle at top w/ivy all around the base. & rose petals tossed in. about 3-5 tea lights scattered around the base NOT in a circle. I saw it once and it was gorgeous.

We are getting married at Vineyard Caterers and have decided to go with the whole 'Wine Country' theme. We are getting raised centerpieces with mixed berries/autumn-colored roses (yellow, iced-tea, light orange, black magic), green fillers, Euycalyptus (SP?). Grape vines will lead up to the top of the centerpeice. At the bottom, we are going to have a mini-wreath with real bunches of grapes. The cake will be decorated the same way.

Are you doing this through a florist or yourself? It sounds like a great idea. Exactly what I am looking for.

I love the look of tall centerpieces but we will have oblong tables. I think they might look funny. Any suggestions?

Hi, No they won't. I have seen them on oblong tables and they look nice. I think personally it's all about the flowers you choose to put in the centerpiece. Just imagine your guest walking into the room and seeing the tall centerpieces, the first thing out of there mouths will be 'How beautiful!!' and that's what I am aiming long. I have worked at a country club for many years and believe me they wouldn't look funny.

Were the high centerpieces used on the oblong tables round or more free formed? What do you think about balancing the look with smaller arrangements or candle arrangements at each end of the table? Have you seen anything like that? Thanks for your input

Hi, I've catered so many weddings, it's unbelievable. There are on more oblong round tables. Smaller arrangements are nice and probably less costly. I suggest maybe in the center of the table a round mirror (doesn't need to be mirror mirror but something similiar to a mirror) a little bigger than the centerpiece and small votives. I would put on a table of 6 or more ppl 5 small votives, scattered on the table with the rose petals on the table. What do you think? Another way would be use different size candles but if the tables are oblong then you really would look great. Tell me what you think?Welcome New Vendors
