Does anyone know what the average price people spend on centerpieces is? We have a bridge theme going on and as I am well okay with not having flowers, we found these beautiful suspension bridge candle holders that I think would look great. However they are about $115 each and we need at least 10, possibly more so my question is would spending about $1300 on centerpieces be ridiculous? Thanks for any help.

I actually think that sounds like an average price, if not a bit less. Cute idea!!

I think since you only have about 10 tables then that is fine! I am probably going to have double the tables, so I wouldn't spend that for myself, but for the amount you need I think that is totally acceptable!

I think $100 per table is average. I'm trying to do less, but even with simple flowers the price per table could easily go over $100.

So my math stinks we are having about 10 people per table with at a minimum of 20 tables.... Does that change anyone's response?

Centerpieces range from $100 and up. $115 each is a decent price. What are you going to do with them after? I hope your place has oval tables, as a bridge might look funny on round table.

Here is another bridge but don't buy this kit unless you have lots of patience. http://redditgifts.com/marketplace/product/brooklyn-bridge-metal-model-kit/
FH works on the Brooklyn Bridge and I bought this kit. Took me over 3 hours to assembly. This is going to be on his grooms cake. ps- It is tiny, about 6 inches long and 2-3 inches high.

Thats not a bad price if it's really what you want.

Re: Centerpieces $$$
sandr325 our tables are round but I talked to the woman at the RH and she said to try to get one and bring it in and see how it looks whit the table set before I go and order a few thousand dollars worth of them. And I would probably give them away and keep at least one for us. I like the idea because I think it's really original and I have a hard time justifying spending $$$ on flowers that die but I don't know that I can justify so much $ on this either. The other idea I like for centerpieces is the floating flowers and candles, I haven't started pricing those out yet though.
Thanks everyone for the feedback.

I would just do whatever you feel comfortable doing and whatever you are able to squeeze into your budget. For me, centerpieces are not as important as other things... but that is different for everyone! Do what your gut tells you to do, you don't want to regret anything from this day! Best of luck!

Good advice and definitely something to remember throughout this entire planning process. Thanks

I think that your centerpieces should cost what you want them to cost. I showed my florist what I wanted and she was able to make them for me in my budget by taking out some of the flowers. I am geting my tall centerpieces with hanging pearls for 85.00 per table. I was previously quoted up to 200.00 for other florists. I have pics in my album. Im using Michelle at Hidden Essance and she came in over 1000.00 less than other places I saw.
