centerpieces and place card table arrangement

Why are the centerpieces that I fall in love with so expensive. So we went to a floral appt. today and found out to rent the centerpieces I absolutely love along with the flowers that go on top would be 225 each!!!!!!!! So now we have to go with doing some high and some low or all low.

I do have a question for you ladies. What are you thinking of having on your place card table. I thought a nice flower arrangement would be pretty but now I'm thinking maybe a bunch of votive candles just to save some money. Do you still think it will look nice?

$225 each?? Are they magical flowers?

I am using a single tall centerpiece that I wanted for the actual centerpieces but was too expensive. It's a big floral tree thing with hanging candles- it's also going to be the focus of our STD's. The actual seating cards will probably be candles.

I'm sure whatever you choose to do it will be beautiful!!

I think it would still look nice. How about getting personalized votive candle holders for the candles? Some people put wedding pictures of their parents and grandparents on the table.

Have you tried getting floral quotes from B*urtons? I've heard they are reasonable.

Yes, personalized votive candles for the place card table sounds really nice. The price for centerpieces sound outrageous though, but I haven't even started looking at florists yet.

Im just having votive candles and rose petals on the placecard table... i dont see the point to spending soo much money on an extra floral arrangement when people dont even pay attention to it - they r only there to pick up their card and then they leave.

Thank you ladies. I saw this beautiful crystal candelabra and renting those is what drives the cost up and then of course the cost of the flowers on top. FH is willing to splurge a little and do half high half low as our centerpieces so I figured I would help out a bit and get rid of the big arrangement on the place card table and go with something small.

I love the idea of personalized votive candles. I know how to etch on glass so I was now thinking of etching words that we feel is important in a relationship. And I love the idea of pictures of past weddings in our family. Thank you ladies so much

Check StylishEvents she has crystal candelabras that I was quoted for much cheaper (incl flowers)..Good luck!!!

What if you got the candelabras from somewhere else and then got the floral arrangements separately.

I got my candelabras from Curiously Creative Candles. They aren't your stereotypical candelabras either. We are just putting candles in the candelabras and using rose petals on the table.
