I was planning on getting round bowls with two dozen roses for my centerpieces with two tall candles on either side. We went to visit a florist this weekend that explained it may not look right with an OVAL table. He suggested we get more of an oblong centerpiece. I need some suggestions. If anyone has pictures of oval tables with centerpieces (any kind) it would be so much appreciated. I really don't like oblong - I'd rather have round but I don't want it to look funny.........Help

We had oval tables, and I had the florist create a slightly elongated centerpiece. I had a seashell theme, so to lengthen the decor a bit more, I had them scatter small seashells around the outer edges of the centerpiece...(but, if you use roses, you could create a similar effect by scattering rose petals.) Then we had our table name cards placed at both ends of the table. I think it worked out well for the table shape.
