Centerpieces - is it weird to have two different types?

Centerpieces - is it weird to have two different types?

I'm DIY-ing my centerpieces.

Playing around with the idea of having two different types, and alternating their placement to every other table.

I know some people do high and low centerpieces with similar styles and the same flowers in both.

If I had, say, small lanterns with candles as one type, and small birdcages as the other type, would that work? (I'd get them in the same type of finish to kind of bring it all full circle).

i think that would be cool as long as there's SOMETHING to tie them both together

That was Neel's idea..HK centerpieces, using all of my personal collection, in hopes that people will leave with the centerpieces and they'll be history!

No Hello Kitty! I want to keep all of my Sanrio collection!

i think it will work... my sister did her own CP's and none of them were the same other than being alcohol related and in baskets....

OMG not at all!! I think its the coolest thing.
I'm planning on having 2-3 different kinds. I think it adds so much more visually to the room!

I actually would prefer that!

I am having 2 different centerpieces (all low) - I just dont like when everything is so uniform.

I think it would definitely work and that it would be gorgeous. I just got a whole bunch of little candlelight lanterns that i'm hand painting with a vine-type design. if they're the right finish you're welcome to borrow them after my wedding!
