Central park Photography

Has anyone or know anyone who took their wedding day photography at Central Park? If so, does anyone know what the fee is or limitations in terms of minutes are?
I checked out the website and it seems like for the Conservatory Garden there is a fee of $150 for only 30minutes!!!! What about the other parts of the park??
I also called the office, she didn't seem like she knew what's going on!!

Thanks girls!

Re: Central park Photography

hey - i'll be getting married in central park in a few weeks.

there is no fee to take pics in the park UNLESS it's the conservatory gardens. if you only want pics in the gardens (no ceremony), then the fee is $100 for 30 minutes only. up to 25 people are permitted in there for this type of selection.

if you are having a ceremony in the gardens, then it's $400 for the ceremony PLUS $100 for the photo permit. you can have up to 100 people for a total of one hour.

like i said, if you just wanna walk around the park and take pics outside the gardens, then there is no restrictions on that.

if you wanna do a ceremony in the park, no permit is required if there will be less than 20 people at the ceremony. if more than 20 people then you have to pay a fee of $25.

btw - i have the contract right in front of me.

hope that helps.

ETA - the north part of the gardens is under construction, so that area is unavailable until construction is done. as such, you can use the south part of the gardens.

I have no idea about restrictions of wedding photos in Central Park but I do know that I got engaged in Central Park and we saw tons of wedding parties taking pictures there that day. I am sure you can find out all of the info.
