CENTURY 21 CONCEPTS PRIZE - IS IT A SCAM?

I just got a call that I won a trip 3 days 2 nights, a $500 gift certificate to some on-line catalogue and 40% of their flatware. I supposedly won this from a bridal expo I went to a few months ago!

Me and my FI need to go there and claim the prize.

I posted about this earlier today. I'll bump it. I'm gonna go. Another bride said she went and 'prizes' seem legit. it isn;t really a prize, they want you to view a product demo, but I'm going saturday at 5pm. At worst, I wasted 2 hours of my life. At best, I'm spending 2 night in a hotel on them!

FI and I went. We sat through the 1 1/2 demonstration on the pot and pans. We were impressed by them but the cost was out of this world. $2000 for a set! Ouch! The guy was really nice when we said we couldn't afford that right now and he gave us the coupon for the $500 and the 2 nights hotel.

We read the fine print and it all seems legit. The only thing with the $500 gift certificate to a website is that you have to pay shipping. We picked about 5 things that totaled $500 and the shipping would have been over $100. Not worth it. We didn't even like what they had on the website.

On the other hand, the 2 night hotel seems great. We know it's not at 5 star hotel but it's still free. We're going to do a week and a half in Hawaii for our honeymoon. on the way back we're thinking about spending 3 days in Vegas and using the coupon would be perfect.

Hope that helps.....

we sat through it too.

It's not a scam. Scam means they promise something and don't deliver. This was just a smart marketing excerise.

We got two free trips because we bought pots (two - Jim had to have them). We're not using the vacation only because Jim & I have no passports and since it doesnt include air travel, we can't 'go' anywhere until after the wedding.

THANKS!

The hotel probably makes it worth it, but I left the # at work and they said I had to call back by 8pm. Oh well...fate made the decision for me!!

You don;lt have to call back by 8pm, that's just to get you to call now. If you go to www.todaysbride.com on the upper right there's a link to make an appointment. Some 'prize', huh?
