I am having the dj do our ceramony and im happy with that but my Fmil offered to pay for a 3pc ensamble for the ceramony... but if we dont want that she said we can have a comparable amt of money.... we will get getting the $ instead.. just wondering what the avg ceramony musician costs.... 20 min reception at the hall... TIA!

It will depend on what types of instruments you want. It's average 400/per musician/ hr. If you want harp, it will be at least 100 more.

We payed $1000 for a string quartet for our ceremony from Julliard. That also included the fee from our church though which was $300, so technically we paid $700 for the string quartet. We booked them through the church so it was a little cheaper.

I got quotes for a string quartet of $400 and $800....That is just for the ceremony not the cocktail hour

We are using Soul Revival for our ceremony and they are very reasonably priced for music. I will FM what we are paying. It's nice of your FMIL to pay for it for you
