You should first check with the location of your ceremony because I was surprised to hear that I can't have rose petals and they gave me a lil list of what not to throw. . . I think i'm ending up with bubbles...

does anyone know what a 'ribbon wand' is? I've never heard of these before and apparantly it's something the guests throw as we leave the church?? Pics please!

Silk petals. I really wanted real or freeze-dried but the RH, where we're having the ceremony, wants silk. They say people slip on real ones, and they stain. I can understand the staining, although I was using ivory anyway, but I doubt anyone's going to slip. And real ones are biodegradable, which makes a difference to me! But if I can't, I can't. I want the petals.

I've heard that bubbles can stain your dress, which is why I decided against them. And I looked at a lot of Knot bios and they don't show up well in photos, which I why I decided on petals--and as I said, I have to do fake ones.

Nope. But at Jewish weddings, we usually don't throw anything.

We can't throw anything at my church but I don't care! They're gonna wave navy/white pennants instead! Woohoo!

The only thing the church let us do was bubbles. It didn't really work out that well. It was a waste of time, money and energy for me.

Our church won't let us throw rose petals- it's birdseed or nothing.
Since I don't want to pick birdseed out of my hair, guests won't throw anything
