Does anyone know if you're getting married at the reception hall, if anyone is allowed to watch the ceremony? I would think the hall would put out the chairs for the wedding guests only, but I am not sure...Just wondering! Thanks!

Actaully, now that I re-read that, I wasn't that clear. I meant people that you're not inviting to the wedding, you know how neighbors will want to watch you get married even though they're not coming to the wedding. I was wondering if the hall will allow extra people to watch the ceremony only.

I'm having it at the reception hall too. I personally think it would be weird to have to then send them home as opposed to a church where there is time in between and not everyone attends the church anyway. Sorry, JMO

Re: Ceremony at Reception Hall
Usually the head count only refers to people eating at the reception, so I doubt anyone will pay attention or care if extra people show up for the ceremony. I think it makes the most sense to do this with people who you invite but can't make it to the whole event.

Yep true. Its hard to send people home if the ceremony is in the same place as the reception hall. And also the head count does usually refer just to the reception because you are paying for the plate, so the BM prob wont care if there are more people at the ceremony

Re: Ceremony at Reception Hall
I'm sure they wouldn't say anything. I have some people coming to the ceremony that I could not invite to the reception, I'm sure they can even get away with going to the cocktail hour. As long as they leave before the reception where there is seating!
