Hi ladies - Question - how difficult is it to get a priest to come to do an outdoor ceremony at the place we want to get married? We still haven't booked, but we're going back to Flower Field (which we both fell in love with) on Tuesday to most likely book and the ceremony would be really amazing if we had it outside there. All of my experienced bride friends are getting married in churches, so I don't now how to go about doing that. Do I just ask a priest at my church or will he laugh at me? I don't even know if they will marry someone outside of the church.

I dont know if the priest will do this but, there are some really great officiants on this site. Im booking with Pastor April.

You can def get someone to come. I am unsure that your priest will come- but it may not be out of the question. I have heard of priests from people's church's coming to the ceremony at the venue before.
It never hurts to ask.

When I went to look at The Cresent Beach Club the lady there told me that she has a priest that comes there if you want.. so I'm sure some will travel. I thought I saw one on the venders list. i'll have to go look.
We are getting married at our venue and our pastor is coming to perform our Ceremony. I think it really depends on the individual and what Church they belong to. I think if you have a long time relationship with your Priest, he would def considerate. I would ask him or call around and look for Priests that do ceremonies outside the Church. There are def some who are willing! HTH!
