Hey Ladies,

Who is doing there ceremony at the venue? Are you doing first look photos before hand or are you missing part of your cocktail hour to take pics with your FH and family? Or do you have completely different plan?

Im trying to plan the day and figure out how that would work and I would love to know what other brides are doing.

Thanks!!

I'm having my ceremony at the RH. My plan is to go from the hair salon to the RH and get dressed in the bridal suite. We had to pay a little extra to come in early but are RH is 5 min from my house and the money I'm saving on limos I'm putting to going in earlier. We are doing a first look so my FH will come at 4:15 and our ceremony is at 6:30. W do plan on doing just some family pictures during the cocktail hour.

I am having the ceremony at RH and we are doing first look photos. I want to be able to attend my cocktail hour.

We are having the ceremony at the RH at 7pm and I think we're allowed to be there 2 hours before. But it'll be in March so it gets dark early...which is making me rethink the first look being at the RH. We're both getting ready at the same hotel, so I'm thinking we might do first look pics there...or maybe even at a different location before we go to the RH.

We're having our ceremony at the RH and we're doing a first reveal so we don't miss a second of the cocktail hour - of course we want to eat all the yummy food

I also just love the first reveal pictures, and the idea of getting that on video is just super cute to me

we are having our ceremony at the RH and we are doing a first reveal. like some of the others, we want to attend our cocktail hour. that is when we plan to say hello to most guests. we also have a lot of people for pictures so we need more then 1 hour to do it!

We had our ceremony at the venue. We did a reveal bc I wanted to have enough time to take pics beforehand & actually enjoy my cocktail hr. I always considered myself a traditional girl but the more I thought about it I was OK with it bc we still had our special moment and it was amazing.

My ceremony at the RH is at 6:30 and we plan on doing first look as early as they'll allow us and do a bunch of portraits before the ceremony. I am being realistic and we prob won't make the ENTIRE cocktail hour, but i'll be happy with a half hour :)

I am getting Married at the venue and doing the reveal too. We wanted to attend ch and we wanted our bridal party and parents to be able to as well. We r still trying to work out details of if the photographer is coming to hotel or just the venue.
For everyone doing a reveal are u doing pics w ur own parents first then reveal or is the reveal first?

We are doing a first reveal at Old Westbury Gardens. And taking most of the pics there. I will still do some family photos after the ceremony. I don't want my grandparents out in heat.

We are having the Ceremony at my Venue, I will also be getting ready there. We decided to to a reveal, although we initially didn't want to, we now agree that we shouldn't miss the opportunity to get some great photos, and this way we can hopefully be able to catch some of our 1 1/2hr coctail hour.

I'm getting married at the venue which was an argument with myself and my FH because his family wants it to be in a church. So in order to get it my way which is a lot more convenient and less expensive I had to give in the not seeing him before the ceremony. This means I will miss my cocktail hour which I told my fiancé but he wants to keep some type of tradition into getting married since we aren't getting married at the church

My ceremony was at the venue. FH did pics with his GMs before and I did the same with my BMs. We did not see each other before the ceremony. During the cocktail hour we did family pics, group pics with the bridal party and pics alone. We did not attend our cocktail hour instead we ate in our bridal suite just us two. I kind of liked it like that because we had a chance to have some time alone.

Did you feel rushed getting all this done during CH or was an hour enough time?

I originally was going to change my cocktail hour to an hour and a half. But my Banquet Manager stated that we didn't need to. I did not feel rushed. We had enough time to take pics and work with the videographer as well as sit down and eat. If your photographer is well experienced then you should have enough time to get everything done and not feel rushed. My photographer worked on a fast pace but he never rushed us to get things done.
