ceremony being held on-site?

Anyone else out there having their ceremony on-site?

Is there a timeline or something that anyone has seen, that i can use as a guide? i.e. Do i get to the hall first and take pictures, then hide in bridal suite...then FH gets there takes some picts, then the guests show-up, FH gets lined up for the ceremony and i make my entrance with my Dad?

please share your experience or advice!

thanks!

finally booked wedding at Stewart Manor Country Club, so we're doing it all there!

We are also getting married at the reception hall. At my hall they gave us the option of going there prior to the ceremony to take pictures. There is a huge bridal suite that we can wait at once guests start to arrive.

I am having a Saturday afternoon wedding so I am the first event of the day. If you are having an evening reception, and there is a day event at the hall you may have to ask your hall for the specific time frame.

In our case we are not seeing each other before the ceremony so we won't be taking any pictures on the grounds until after the ceremony.

We're going to meet before the ceremony for pictures. We're getting married Saturday night, at 6pm. the reception hall said we can get there about 4 pm to start taking pics. We just can't go inside until the other bride and groom (if there is one that day) is gone.

If you don't want to see one another, and it's a big enough place, you would have to hide out before the ceremony in your bridal suite.

I think he (the groom) would arrive before you, then you would arrive.

Here is a thread about the same topic, it may be helpful: Girls with morning weddings....

I think your timeline will depend on whether or not you want to see each other before the ceremony.

We're having ours on site. You man want to think about seeing each other beforehand to do pics, otherwiseyou risk missing out on your entire cocktail hour, and even parts of your reception.

I didn't want to do this either, but friends convinced me, and even said sometimes it's really intimate, b/c only the BP and parents actually witness the Bride and Groom seeing each other for the first time...and the photographer is still able to capture that moment as well.
