ceremony in church or take pictures at old westbury? w/POLL

Ok girls, we were all set to have our ceremony at the reception hall until a light bulb went off over FI head. He realized it might rain & a garden wedding wouldn't work - the ceremony would then have to be done in the main reception room & he doesn't like that.

Since this grand realization he now thinks we should have the ceremony in a church.

BUT this means no pics at Old Westbury Gardens anymore b/c of time & extra costs for limos and potographers.

Which should we do? I'm so torn!

i'm doing pics at owg and then having the ceremony after at fox hollow (hopefully outside) but if it rains we are going to have it in the smaller room upstairs (the room right above the winter garden room.) isn't that room available for u if it rains?

personally - getting married in a church is important to me just for the traditional reason. But, I have been to a ceremony at Fox Hollow & it was inside. I thought it was really pretty. I think it was in the Garden Room. Then the CH was outside and the reception was back in the Garden Room. I thought the whole thing was beautiful. If you really want to pictures at Old Westbury, I think you should do it.

How do you feel about having your wedding in a church? Is it very important for you or your FH? Or is it more important to you to have your formal pictures taken @ OWG?

If your pictures are your priority, don't sacrifice OWG. I'm sure they must have some place to take pictures in case it rains.
