ceremony music..

i've seen a lot of girls on here talking about booking ceremony musicians. would that be in addition to whatever they provide at the church? I think ours has a vocalist and hopefully someone else...now i'm not sure..uh oh!

Re: ceremony music..

We had ceremony musicians but we were married in a small chapel that provided no music, some times people hire a trio to go along with the musicians your church may provide, some just go with whatever teh church provides. There is no right or wrong way to do it. Its your wedding. have you heard teh musicians at your church? Make sure you even like them. You can always just go with them, or if you want to add to it, hire a trumpet, or whatever, its your decision!!! Good luck! Dont stress!!!

Our church 'gets' you if you're having a mass. They say you HAVE to hire the organist because they know the weekly psalms BUT the organist is NOT included, she's an additional $150, I just don't understad it. In addition, we did hire a string trio only because it's something I always really wanted.

ETA: Just call the church and ask. Better to know then to stress yourself out.

I am booking ceremony musicians because my wedding is at the hall (not a church) and they don't provide musicians at the hall.

We used Sterling Music Ensembles if you decide to go that route, we had te Flute trio, it was flute, a violin and a cello, it WAS BEAUTIFUL! Other than getting married, it wsa my favorite part of my wedding, they did such a great job and were VERY reasonably priced!
