What is everyone doing for their ceremony music and how much are you spending. I have an idea of having a harpist play and the prices are about $400. Is that reasonable?

Re: Ceremony Music??
our dj is doing ceremony music for us included in our package. We actully swapped it out with something else we didn't want in the package. FH is a musician so he has already picked out a million strings and paino songs he wants them to play for cocktial hour and the begining of the ceremony when guests are just seated and waiting.
We really wanted an actual string quartet, but we can't afford 500Plus dollars for an hour or whatever it is

Just an FYI -- I saw in your profile you're marrying at your RH...make sure you inform the hall of this and get an OK from them. For insurance purposes they may not allow them to perform since any vendors you use are supposed to be insured, and the RH might ask for proof of this.

that's great. just to be on the safe side make sure they put a note on your contract about it that its okay. i'm a firm believer that if its NOT okay in the contract, its not locked in. i've seen so many times on here where someone thought everything was cool and then later on it wasn't cause it was never written down.
btw--CB is an AWESOME place -- love the food

Re: Ceremony Music??
We are using the Vintage String Quartet (LIW Vendor) for our Ceremony & CH.
Originally, I was thinking of a Harpist, but we both loved the music of the Vintage String Quartet.
If you are interested in a quartet, you should check them out. They are all very nice, easy to work with, very reasonable in price, and their music is beautiful!

Re: Ceremony Music??
Since I'm getting married in a church, we're just using their regular organist. He comes with the price of the church

Re: Ceremony Music??
Our DJ is doing it. We saved the 3 piece trio for the CH instead since I'm assuming most people won't make our church and my FH and I aren't very religious anyway
