Ceremony Music (Especially if using Organ)

What are you using? I'm trying to decide what will sound nice with organ only...

I am supposed to be getting a detailed list from my organist this afternoon, but I remember we picked Canon in D for the processional and Trumpet Voluntary for the recessional. He said both of them were very pretty on the organ.

If you're getting married at a church you will review with the organist. I don't think we picked our music until 3 weeks or so before the wedding.

I'm getting married at the Cottage and we got Janet King (the harpist) to come for the ceremony and CH. She's AMAZING - FM if you want details.

I'm getting married in a church & we have an organist.

FH called her & she asked us what we wanted & he had no idea what to say.

Just based on what other people use & what've heard on a cd ( although performed by string quartet) I am thinking of Pachebel's Canon in D for the bridal party, Trumpet voluntary for me ( I as told you don't need a trumpet ) and the umm, I forget the reccessional. Ode to Joy maybe?

We were told that we could choose what we would like as well. I have a wedding music CD but a lot of it is w/ flute or strings etc and don't know how it would sound w/ organ. I really like Air or Air in G, can't remember who it's by right now. Also thinking about Canon in D as well...

We used Bach violin concerto in G minor. It's really pretty - if you do a search on google, you can find a clip. I walked in to the traditional wedding march.

REcessional was Arrival of the Queen of Sheba

We had an organist and hired a trumpet player. Our ceremony music was:

Canon in D for BM processional
Trumpet Voluntary for my walk down the aisle
Panis Angelicus for Communion
Trumpet Tune for our recessional
and Allegro Maestoso from Water Music for everyone else's recessional
