Re: ceremony music for girls getting married at RH
why would it be cheesy? my ceremony is going to last all of 20 minutes. don't want to be spending extra money to get live musicians. it's not worth it to me. we're having the dj do ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

I don't think it is cheesy at all. I agree with the above post, if your ceremony is going to be around 20 minutes, why go to the extra expense of live musicians. As far as music is concerned we are mixing classical with contemporary: Canon in D Jesu, Joy of Mans Desire Follow Me- John Denver (FH's choice) God Only Knows- Beach Boys

My DJ is covering it. I haven't decided on the song yet. He's doing my cocktail hour too.

Re: ceremony music for girls getting married at RH
We used the Hawaiian version of 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' for when the bridal party was walking down the isle and everyone thought it was being played live. Afterwards my relatives were all coming up to me asking where the musicians were that played during the ceremony . I also chose 'From this Moment On' for when I walked down the isle and everyone was sobbing.

Re: ceremony music for girls getting married at RH
I was just discussing this with FH a few minutes ago. I asked if he would rather live musicians or an actual song played. Of course he didn't have a preference!
However, my mom mentioned to me many years ago that she thought it was so nice how the wedding she had just been to used actual songs instead of an organ. So that has been imprinted in my mind all these years. I do not think it is cheesy to have the DJ play actual songs! I plan on doing it too!!
