My sister is getting married at a catering hall next week and her DJ is only coming for the reception. The hall does not provide music for the ceremony. How do you play music for walking down the aisle and candle ceremony, etc. Please give suggestions.

the dj is doing our ceremony music.. he plays the cd's and they should have speakers already set up in the hall. im sure the dj could to it for the ceremony also.. it might cost a little more. but its worth it than the have the hall do it and possibly messing it up!!

My DJ got us a lounge singer for $300. he was amaing. Some of my guests wanted to stay in the cocktail hour room and listen longer. I booked him through FM Entertainment. You can call and try to get info.

I am guessing that the DJ is not an option for her and that is why you are asking. I would use a radio that you can hook up to an Ipod. Or CD player and ask someone you trust to raise the volume of a song as the processional happens and then lower it til it's silent to start the ceremony. GL!

Start calling some of the string players. If they have the date open maybe they will come. Also try www.gigmasters.com maybe someone you find there can help.

You also check out the local colleges and see if a senior music major would play at the wedding? You might be more likely to find someone who is available that way. And, they will most likely be pretty reasonably priced.
