How many musicieans are you hiring for your ceremony - organist, string players, etc? How much are you spending? I don't want to spend too much, I was thinking just an organist and maybe some people in my FI can sing solos. Anyone else do it that way? I'd love a string trio for walking down the aisle music but I'm afraid it'll be too expensive.

Re: ceremony musicians
sometimes your church has contacts of pianists or have set musicians. go ask them.
my sister used the church's pianist and had my cousin sing for her wedding. she got married in sleepyhollow tho.
fh and i are having a soprano, tenor, harp, and violin.

Re: ceremony musicians
we'll probably have a flute trio or quartet for the ceremony and CH... trio is $600 and quartet is $800 from royal brass..
they also have a harpist and vocalist/organist. this rate covers 1.5 hr
Harpist- $400.00 Vocalist/Organist- $200.00 each

Hey date twin (and town twin, I think... maybe our reception guests can all hang afterwards)-
We're using some of our klezmer musicians as our ceremony music, so it's kinda included. But you should check around colleges, local high school music teachers, craigslist, you may be able to find folks that fit in your budget.

The church organist comes with the 'donation' to the church for us.
