please answer the poll and let me know why you are doing what you are doing-of there is a reason. I want to do the full mass but I don't want to bore people. Plus I think the mass is too short for those that have far to travel-then they can go right to the reception hall to take pics with us-the family.

We're going to have a full mass. To me, it's just more meaningful. I don't think an hour is too long, or that it will bore people.

We are having the full mass. We are opting to shave about 15-20 minutes off the entire mass by not offering communion to all of our guests, just the BP and immediate family.

We are having a full mass - to me thats the most important part of the day and w/o a full mass it will go by so quickly.

JMO, but you mgiht want to rethink this... unless you're having like 300 people or something, you're not going to save much time by not offering communion to everyone. the priest still has to do the consecration of the bread and wine, and that's what takes all the time.... i would say 5 minutes max and your communion line would be over. in my opinion, i think communion is about the faith community sharing communion together... I think some that might really want to receive and share in the sacrament you are receiving on your wedding day might feel left out. Those that aren't Catholic will just elect not to receive and that's their choice... those that might might wonder why it's onyl going to immediate family and the BP.
