ceremony question???

We're getting married at the hall where our reception is being held. My question is...is there anyone there to help coordinate the ceremony? My officiant says she doesn't usually do rehearsals because its not necessary, but will the maitre'd or somebody help will lining everyone up to go down the aisle?

Re: ceremony question???

A lot of catering halls let you hold a rehearsal. They can have the Maitre'D walk everyone through the procession and such. I'd call and ask them about it, and also book a day/time for it. I'm getting married on a Sunday, and our rehearsal is the Wednesday before. They told me the officiants almost NEVER do rehearsals. Go figure....

Re: ceremony question???

we had ours at the hall and didn't rehearse

we had a rehearsal dinner...but it was just an excuse to have a party...and for the BP to know who they were walking down with...

our hall did a fabulous job getting us all ready...

I've been to ceremonies at Carltun, Westbury Manor, Swan Club, Vanderbilt Mansion and of course ours at Land's End and all of them have been wonderful!!!

We are being married on a Saturday. Our rehersal is on Thursday night. As of right now, our officiant will be there. He is a family friend that might be why he will be there.

our officiant almost demended that we have a rehearsal prior to the wedding date. So I checked with the Watermill, to find a night we could do a rehearsal in the room. They were fine with that!
