Now that I have my hall booked, the next big check to work on is the church. (I don't want a full service.) The CH starts at 8, but we are going to the RH at 6 to take pictures.....so what time should the ceremony start???? And about how long is a ceremony without a full service? TIA

Re: ceremony - reception time help
Well it depends on how far from your RH your church is. Are you going to a location to take pictures in between? I am having my ceremony almost 3 hrs before the cocktail hour because my church is not too close to my RH. I want to leave enough time in between for pictures and for my guests to get to the RH. I am doing a shorter ceremony as well. So I guess it really depends on those factors. I think the service is about a half hour if you do the shorter one.

Our ceremony at the church starts at 2:45, after the receiving line I assume we should be out by 4? Then pictures, then CH at 6:30. As long as you leave about an hour and half in-between I think you should be ok.

Thank you! Church is less than 10 min from the RH. Right now I'm only planning on taking pics at the RH. I am trying to get FH to agree to stop by my parents house quickly so we can take a few pics with our dog (parents house is blocks away from the church)
