There is a song that I hear mostly at Christmas time. The begining of the song is what I want for my ceremony, before here comes the bride, but I have NO idea what sond it is.

After the 'instrmental' part, it starts with a chour singing

Can anyone help?

Thank you!

Re: Ceremony song

Is it an instrumental xmas song you are talking about with a children's choir singing in the beginning? If so then that is definitely Christmas Canon by Trans-siberian Orchestra and the song that you are talking about in the beginning is an excerpt from Canon in D. That's the song I want too for my processional. I have always loved it. Let me know if that's what you were thinking of.
FYI - there are many versions of this song since it can be played on many instruments, but the most popular are piano, flute and/or strings.

I need to see if I can find it for piano or organ only. Money is getting REALLY tight and we can only have a pianist/organist (we have to find one ourselves)

Re: Ceremony song

AAhhh see that is my problem too. I always love how it sounded played with a string trio or quartet, but the organist kinda comes with the church and we need to cut costs in certain areas and FH thinks that this should be one of them. I guess I have to agree with him. It's like 800-1000 to have strings for ceremony music, which probably isnt worth it for the 10 mins that they actually play. I have heard it on the organ and it sounds very nice too. Good luck and I'm glad I could help.

BTW - Canon in D is actually a very popular wedding song so any musician you find should definitely know it.
