ceremony start time on invitations?
Are you putting the real ceremony starting time on your invites or a bit earlier? I don't want people to be late and be walking in when we are starting!!

ceremony start time on invitations?
It depends.... If you are getting married at the venue and have a hospitality hour or half hour before your ceremony I would put that time. If you are doing a church/temple wedding, maybe I would do 15 minutes (or maybe but not more than 30 minutes) before so people are sitting around too long doing nothing.

We are having a church wedding and just put the correct start time on the invites. I'm trying to give people the benefit of the doubt lol.

I've never received an invite where the church time wasn't the starting time... I put the church time. I think people should be aware... don't worry about everyone else!!!

My FH and I argued about this he wanted 30 min prior, i thought it was rude and some people would be waiting forever, we compromised and pit 7:15 ceremony actually starts at 7:30

Re: ceremony start time on invitations?
I'm just putting the start time of the ceremony. I'm the type of person who gets there 15 minutes before anyway and I'm always annoyed when the time is not actually right. I end up sitting there for 45 minutes then.

My mom and I debated this. I decided to put the real start time. Whoever isn't there will just miss the ceremony. They will not be let in after the processional starts. This may sound mean but time is money and I don't want the people who are on time to suffer because of late people.

My guest can mingle or walk the ground if they arrive early. Anyone who STILL arrives late won't be let in once the ceremony starts. I don't care if its Grandma!

I put our start time. If someone is late then they have to wait till the procession if we have started already.

This is what we're doing, too. There will be a champagne station set up in the lobby and I want to ask for different hot chocolates and cider so everyone can warm up by the fireplace when they come in from the cold. No one minds waiting with a drink in their hand!

ceremony start time on invitations?
I'm still torn on this, and am doing my invites like, NOW! We have hospitality at 11:30 and ceremony at noon, and I'm thinking maybe I should put the hospitality time as the start time... Most of our guests are coming from CT and NH - they'll come the night before, but the CT guests will likely be late traveling that morning - so I probably should put the earlier time. People can't really be annoyed when there's hospitality while they wait! And I don't want to put both hospitality and ceremony time on the invite, so I guess I've decided (after reading all your posts!) - I will go with the hospitality time for the start time.

ceremony start time on invitations?
I am putting my actual start time since its I'm having a church ceremony. FH's cousin got married this past summer at the hall and she put 30 mins. before it began. Some people arrived 10 minutes late but I don't think the bride noticed.Welcome New Vendors
