Ceremony Transport HELP w/poll

Ceremony Transport HELP w/poll

Some of you might remember FH and I discussing having the ceremony at a friend's house overlooking the water. He has now decided that we need to make this work.

Problem is there is no street or driveway parking at friend's house. There is a municipal parking lot within walking distance. I have priced valets and they are too expensive. I was thinking of renting a shuttle to transport the guests to and from the parking lot before and after the ceremony.

What do you think?

Well how far is not a far walk? Think about the older guests, what if it is raining?

If it's not too expensive, go for the shuttle. I think it's a good idea!

If you can swing it, the shuttle is a good idea. We've just started pricing shuttles from the hotel to our ceremony/reception site.

Well, Just my opinion, I'd forego the ceremony at the friend's house if there is not enough parking. I would not want my guests to whine and complain about it. Also, I'm really into making my day worry free and there are a lot of things I am doing because they are the easiest way. I'm not even taking pictures anyplace except right at Temple. I know I may miss out on some things but this is my attitude and so far it has kept me pretty calm even though I am not a generally calm person!

It is about two blocks. LI blocks, not city blocks. Older guests = his mother & my mother. If it's raining everyone is going to get wet b/c the ceremony is outdoors with NO backup plan. (yes, I am certifiably crazy )
