if we do the traditional 'repeat after me' vows... there is no room to say 'i do'
For example: I, (Bride/Groom), take you (Groom/Bride), to be my (wife/husband), to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.
Since we would be saying this, no one is asking us a question, so there is no room to say i do......
unless the officiant says
'do you ___ take ____ to be your _____'
and then we say I do after the officiant says all of that...
anyone else have this issue?
anyone have different wording?

Re: ceremony wording help
I was JUST thinking about this the other day.
I guess the only way you would say I do is if you don't repeat after the officiant and he/she just asks the question of you. I kinda want to saw more than just the I do though and would rather do the repeating.
maybe there's something after that part, maybe like a 'do you accept this ring as a symbol....?' 'i do' IDK haha
