FH and I getting married at the RH- We refuse to see eachother prior to wedding. We will how ever take some pics prior such as me with the BM and those pics. CB said we can do an hour and 30 min coctail hour which will give us extra time for pics and time to go to CH for a little bit.
Is an hour and a half to long for a CH ?

I'm not sure how big your bridal party is but an hour seems like plenty of time for pics. If you are worried about it I would add the extra 1/2 hour. People love the cocktail hour and I'm not sure anyone would really notice the time difference. HTH

We have 7 BM and 7 gm and we would have to take mine and FH pics together during that hour- I just don't want the guest to get bored with an hour and half CH

They would not get bored at all....they have food and drinks! I say go for it.

I don't think any of your guests would be bored at a hour and half CH. They will be eating and drinking some people probably won't notice lol

I think u should do the 1 1/2 hr CH. That way u won't have to feel like u have to rush through your pics. CB's CH food is amazing- so I don't think people will mind eating it for another 1/2 hour lol.
I didn't know that CB offered an extended CH. FH keeps complaining b/c he thinks an hour is too short. I may call CB and see if they can extend my CH too...

i don't think an hour and a half is too long. Personally, CH is one of my fave parts of the wedding - plus i would like to extend it b/c i know that's when the pictures are getting taken and i want to try some of the food

1 1/2hr CH is standard for our RH but before we booked we worked an extended CH into every price we got for every RH we visited.. I wouldn't have a wedding without the extended CH because I just love the idea and CH is always the best food.. So I most def do not think its too long! lol

I feel like the CH is one of the most fun parts of a wedding so I def think you could make it an hour & 1/2

I am doing the exact same thing. Not seeing FH before the wedding and I still want to be at the cocktail hour for a little bit.
I've read some things saying that the cocktail hour should never exceed an hour but i TOTALLY DISAGREE. Every single wedding Ive been to, everyone LOVESSS the cocktail hour - its the best part of the wedding. Do it girl!

I actually wanted 2hr CH. But FH said no.. lol. Its the best part of the party. IMO. Best food anyway!

people LOVE the CH! we added an extra hour onto the entire wedding bc we didn't want to shorten the dinner/dance part so it is now 6 hours long, with 1.5 hrs for the CH, and 4.5 hrs for the dinner/dance. but an extended CH is great bc people love mingling as well as the unlimited food.

Omg, I went to a wedding in Rhode Island with a 2 hour cocktail hour... and they had NO food.. it was just alcohol.. It was so awful lol
If it's filled with food tho for 2 hours, I'm all for it lol

were doing the hour and a half ch... we got an extra hour from the Rh so we are splitting it between the CH and the Reception
