FH and I getting married at the RH- We refuse to see eachother prior to wedding. We will how ever take some pics prior such as me with the BM and those pics. CB said we can do an hour and 30 min coctail hour which will give us extra time for pics and time to go to CH for a little bit.
Is an hour and a half to long for a CH ?

Re: CH-- 1 Hour or 1 1/2 Hours
You know - I made a post just like this when I first signed on here and it was 'To Extend or Not to Extend CH & VH'... I wasn't sure what to do so I asked all you lovely ladies and then my FH just simply asked me: what do YOU want.
So guess what I did... Pretty much took everything everyone said into consideration and then extended my CH by 30 minutes AND the overall party by and hour and a half...
So our CH is starting at 5:30 ending at 7 then the reception is from 7-12:30 with a full Viennese hour starting around 11ish and I COULD NOT be happier about it.
If people start complaining that it's too long of a day, and everyone will want to leave, and there's no point in doing that, and it's a waste of money etc... Just hear them out and then do what you want, because at the end of the day it's YOUR wedding and you shouldn't have ANY regrets :)
And in the grand scheme of things, 30 extra minutes in the beginning of your wedding will not seem like that long of a time to the guests, they'll have a chance to mix and mingle and eat and drink... It'll be good times

I say go with the standard 1 hour. I've been to three weddings recently that were 1.5 hrs for the cocktail hr, and most people were complaining after a while.
