i called around to a bunch of places yesterday. check out the woman on this site she was very helpful and nice. also there is a place in syosset, table covers or something like that. also there is a place lombardi's recommends as well.
i called all over long island yesterday and i couldn't find anything cheaper than $3.50 a chair plus handling fees.
jmo- it wasn't worth it! but then again, i haven't seen the chairs yet

Re: Chair covers
we are doing chair covers... we went to a showcase the other night at my hall and one of the tables was set up... it made teh room it is very formal and so elegant
we didn't think it was worth the money at first but after we saw it we couldn't resist
my hall provides them... it is $500 for chair covers and $750 for the table linens (fancier and more formal table linens)
ask your hall they might recommend someone if they can't get them

Re: Chair covers
I got them through the finishing touch. Unfortunately there are not many companies out there so the prices aren't really competitive -- they are a bit pricey. But finishing touch does great work

Re: Chair covers
I know a company in Jericho- Table Wraps- that has linnens and chair covers. I think the chair covers are $3.50 each. This company is totally reputable- we've rented table cloths from them for a few different occasions.
I also used finishing touch and was happy with them

Re: Chair covers
Look up Chair Covers and Linens. They aren't in NY, but they'll send them to the hall and the hall sends them back. My hall recommended them. I don't think there were prices on the website, but I ordered a brochure and I'm pretty sure they were cheaper than $3.50.

Re: Chair covers
I used an out-of-state vendor--I paid about $2.50/chair w/sash and shipping was free--
The out of state vendors are defintly cheaper and a good money saver -- just make sure that you'll have someone to put them on at your hall (some won't do it) and take them off and mail them back the next day. Unfortunately I had no volunteers at my wedding

Re: Chair covers
Can anyone provide a few weblinks to out of state chair cover places.
Also I wonder if Villa Lombardi's lets you use chair covers from other places, since they pretty much won't let us do anything else.
