Re: chair covers OR no chair covers
They can look great (as long as they fit the chair well. Consider how many men will take suit/tux jackets off and block the views of the chairs anyways. I'm really thinking about them (ugly green chairs mentioned above), but when I consider the cost, there are other things that I want to spend the $$ on.

Our chairs were horrible so we had no choice. I do think they make a room look very elegant.

Re: chair covers OR no chair covers
i paid the extra money...i think they make the room look really elegant. definitely not a necessary cost though.
when my MOH was married her reception room had them and they were so pretty, really made the room special. (see pic)
Me too...it was worth the $$...I think it pulls the room together.

Re: chair covers OR no chair covers
I wouldn't spend the extra $ (and didn't) and I don't know, to me, that photo looks like a roomful of fabric. Not really my taste. I think if I thought the chairs were so ugly, I probably wouldn't have booked the hall in the first place.

I want them so bad! The coral house is doing something different to their chairs so I am going to wait and see what they look like. I think I will end up with the chair covers bc I just think they are elegant. I also think you can get them cheaper online, but you have to set them up yourself...
I do a lot of thinking!

Re: chair covers OR no chair covers
Personally I say no covers. I wanted them at first too but decided against it. The night of my wedding I dont think I even noticed the chairs.

Unless the chairs in your ballroom are not pretty- I would forego the covers..

It depends on the room and the chairs. I was very adamant about having chair covers so, for me, it was worth the extra money. I thought it made the room look so much more elegant.
Same here.

I say yes! I think it looks so nice with them. The chairs in Flowerfield were very casual for our wedding so we used the chair covers. I loved them. The room looked so elegant.
In my opinion, it depends on the chairs underneath them. In general, I'm not a fan--but then again some places provide plastic chairs, so in that case, I'd definitely do them.

Re: chair covers OR no chair covers
JMHO, I don't care for chair covers, unless the chairs are ugly. Giorgio's chairs are new and gorgeous. I think the right chair cover can be nice, but they're usually expensive. I think that they can look messy if they're not done right.

I think it is a nice touch if you have the extra cash to spend, but if you are strapped for $$ I don't think it is worth it.

Re: chair covers OR no chair covers
I would (if you feel comfortable) post where you are having your reception? Maybe people have been there and can tell you if they have seen a wedding there without chair covers? Just a thought . . .

Re: chair covers OR no chair covers
not crazy about the look of chair covers personally, but if you like them and your hall's chairs you don't care for, go for it. but from personal experience, i didn't notice them at other parties until i began planning my own wedding.

Re: chair covers OR no chair covers
I personally don't like them but it is your day so do what you like. If the chairs are nice and you would rather spend money on something else I would skip them.
