chair covers or not to chair covers.....

chair covers or not to chair covers.....

ok... so after all the RSVPs we have less people coming than we thought, so we have a little extra money in the budget....
our caterer does the chair covers with bows for $10 each.... so it would be like an extra $1100 for us... i LOVE the way they look, but are they worth it?? are they something you really notice at weddings you've been to?? just not sure what to do....

i like chair covers, but $10 each is TOO much. do a little research, you can get them for half that price.

I am not going to lie, unless they are realllllly pretty I dont like them...BUT, if you love them go for it, its not all that much money, I think you could prob put the extra cash toward something else, I personally notice them, but only cause i am not really a fan...

if you want them, you have the cash, go for it!

Re: chair covers or not to chair covers.....

Well here is my only experience with chair covers: My sister got married three weeks ago. She did not pay for chair covers. Somehow, they hall put them on for her and did not charge her. She did not know until the other day when she REALLY looked at some pictures that she had chair covers
IMO, do what you want. You seem to really want them, so go for it. I would ask around about price, though because 10 is way steep.

I agree. I notice them and like them but I think you could definitely find a better price.

That is way too much. I would get them from somewhere else.

I say do it if you want it, but def negotiate the price down...cause $10 is way to expensive!

i agree-if you want them go for it. I looked into them and the cheapest i found them for was $5 each, $10 is highway robbery!!! JMO!

i think they look nice..but too me its an extra expense that isnt worth it......i might lean towards using it for something else. but if you feel its something you reeeeaaally want...then do it

The catch is the chair cover cost is from $3-5 then to apply them most halls charge $5 per chair so if you think about it the going rate is about $10! Personally I love them but decided the $1000 is better put towards our 1st home!

If you can find someone to set up for you(maybe a very nice family member or friend), there are places online you can order them from for way cheaper. They ship it to your hall. The trick is , you have to find someone to set them up.

This site looks great. I have their catalog.

http://chaircoversonline.com/

It's $3 per chair with bow included.

IMO, unless the chairs are horrendous, spend the $ on something else (like fabulous HM dinners or massages....)

Re: chair covers or not to chair covers.....

imo that is way too expensive!! our hall gave them to us for $3 a chair- and it was a must have...in total it will be around $600- for $1100 i would have probably skipped them!!

try rental places and get some prices- maybe you can negotiate

I go with!
We got ours with Leonards at $3p/chair. I thought it was reasonable.

I'm doing chair covers because I love the way they look too -- with a pretty white bow on the back and a few pink spray roses tucked into the bow. Actually The Finishing Touch in Hicksville does this for about $7 a chair cover, so you might want to check them out to save some $$$. The quality of the chair covers are excellent.
