ok... so after all the RSVPs we have less people coming than we thought, so we have a little extra money in the budget.... our caterer does the chair covers with bows for $10 each.... so it would be like an extra $1100 for us... i LOVE the way they look, but are they worth it?? are they something you really notice at weddings you've been to?? just not sure what to do....

Re: chair covers or not to chair covers.....
Jamila at Paragon Designs does them for about $5.00 including set-up...depends on the chairs in your hall and if you have extra $$. I got married in one of Fox Hollow rooms and they made the room look soo much nicer (the chairs are a bit worn down)...

They are nice but I dont notice them, and I never remember them. IMHO if you have extra money in your budget save it and use it on your HM or home.
ETA: Are you getting married at Meadow Club because I think thats what htey told me they were! (we didnt have them)

I always think they look very pretty...but I find them impratical when you are actually sitting on them because the fabric seems to move around. It also sometimes makes the chair top heavy and then the chairs easily fall over.

I love the way chair covers look, but I can't afford them I think $10 a chair is crazy, but it's your wedding. In the end, with all the money you spend, you might as well go all out if you can. If you have doubts, put it towards your honeymoon.

I nearly fell out of my chair when you said 10 dollars each for chair covers. i have a website for you, they are about 2-3 dollars each, I am most likely going ot use them. I have to look it up at home. SORRY

Re: chair covers or not to chair covers.....
I would say is use the extra $$ for something else! like for honeymoon upgrade for air or hotel. I was at my hall last night and my BM showed me the chair with the cover and bow. I admit it is really pretty!!!!!!!! but I didn't get that option because my guests and I am sure yours too are really looking forward to eat and drink than sitting a covered chair!!!

$10 IS WAY TOO MUCH, A vendor on here will do it for $5, FM me if you want more info. I am meeting them this weekend. If the chairs need them then why not?

I like chair covers, but I think they are just not worth the extra expense

Yes to chair covers. Try Paragon Designs, a vendor here, and speak to Jamila. I'm getting a satin one with bow for less than what your hall is asking for. Good Luck!
