Maybe I am weird but I have real issue with chairs at reception venues. I am just starting to look and if the chairs look cheap or tacky then I am turned off of the venue. Anyone else have this issue?

i am the same way. I liked the swan club when I was looking for a hall but the room they were going to give had ugly brown chairs. I asked if they could switch for the nice gold ones. They said they could not do that.

OMG me and FH have the same issue...all the lessings places have the same cheapie chairs and me and FH hate them!! but we love our RH so we told the BM that we are going to sit on every chair and make sure its not wobbly on the am of the wedding!

I was very picky when choosing my RH. See, the chairs in the pics at North Ritz Club... I was turned off by those when I checked out the 15 places on my list. But hey, we all like / dislike different things. Just that when I saw the chairs at Giorgio's I thought, 'Wow, those are nice. I don't even need covers for them!'
But it wasn't just the chairs I have issues with... I am picky about the ceilings too, lol.
So.... was anyone else looking at the ceilings? Some like high ceilings, some like low. Some like chandeliers, others it doesn't matter...
I just feel very lucky that everything I was picky about, I was able to find at my RH.
LOL The chairs at Giorgios are beautiful and new and clean but that's the exact style I didn't want!
I can see why RHs all have different things. We all have different taste!
Maybe some brides out there specifically want casino carpet
I wonder if halls realize how many brides might see chairs as a dealbreaker or dealmaker

I think this term is funny. But it's true!
Come to think of it, I think my RH may have 'casino carpet'. I honestly don't even remember! I guess it's not a factor for me as much as the chairs and ceiling

lol im a chair and ceiling girl too!!! lol lol lol I love Giorgio's Chairs.. and their high ceilings and chandeleirs!!
Definitely look into chair covers if you like the REST of the venue!

LOL i was the same way.....I HATED the chairs in our room. There was another room (much smaller and I LOVED their chairs) So I made a call to the hall and asked if we can swap chairs and they couldnt and I casually said I really cant pay $3.00 a chair for the chair covers....she asked me to hold on, came back and said they would throw them in for me. see if they can throw chair covers in for you....it doesnt hurt to ask
