I posted this on the Vendor board yesterday because I figured some of the vendors might be more familiar with facilities that offer these, and because I feel like a pain in the tush to keep throwing out reception site questions ad nauseum.
Does anyone know of any reception sites that offer champagne brunch receptions in lieu of afternoon/evening receptions? I really don't want a buffet reception in the afternoon or evening, but would be willing to settle on it for a brunch reception. Has anyone ever been to a brunch reception and where? Oh, and I'm not looking to have it at a restaurant.
Thanks for putting up with me!

Re: Champagne Brunch Reception
I know the Milleridge Inn restaurant (which has 8 private rooms) has a brunch reception... but their biggest room only holds up to 110 people.

Thanks. My guest list is definitely going to be more than 110, though.

Re: Champagne Brunch Reception
the Crabtree Kittle House in Chappaqua is really cute, and has a phenomenal buffet brunch that I believe they will do for weddings as well....mmm...I wish I was there now. I think we were looking at around $80 or 90++pp there for that, but I can't recall. If you're willing to do it upstate I'd give them a call.
Also, Gansett Green Manor you can do anything you want. They offer the grounds and you can have a tent set up and hire a caterer. It's lovely, it's in Amangansett.
You could try the Prospect Park facilities in Brooklyn too, you hire your own caterer. Try B & Bs - they too may be more equipped for this (that's what the Kittle House is). Perhaps Ram's Head Inn on Shelter Island?

Re: Champagne Brunch Reception
Come to think of it, Harrison House (where we just had our wedding) might do it too. Just make sure not to book with Bill Kennedy - definitely book with Carmela - to save yourself a lot of headaches.

Re: Champagne Brunch Reception
Thanks for the info. I called the Garden City Hotel yesterday for sh*ts and giggles and found that their brunch prices are the same as a daytime wedding. I thought perhaps they would be a little less expensive for a morning wedding, but nope, not a chance. Then again, I wasn't exactly surprised. Their Saturday nights go for $200 pp.
