Change of address announcements

Any good ideas?
Should I send something out alone?
Put an insert in with our holidy cards?
Put an insert in with our wedding thank yous?
This is our first house.
Should I include phone number also?

Since it's so close to the holidays, I'd send them out with the cards just to save some time and money.

Did you guys move in already?

No we are closing next week, probably the 28th... unless something delays it again.

Delays? So annoying.

In that case, since you're basically talking about November 1st, I'd definitely send them out with the holiday cards.

The reason why I was thinking of doing it with the wedding thank yous is I wil be sending that out to over 200 people. I don't usually send out that many holiday cards
Would it be weird if I sent them with the wedding thank yous?

I personally wouldn't care if you sent me your new address with the TY. It will save you money on postage. I say go for it.

go for it..they probably already know that the majority of their gifts went towards the purchase of your house so it would be a nice gesture to let them know that in the thank you..

I would definately send it out with your wedding thank you's. We received a wedding thank with a change of address - they just made up return address labels with a house that say 'We moved'. Or you can put in a card with the info.

Oh yeah, I passed right over that option in your original post. I think it's fine to send with the TYs. Definitely save yourself the postage, especially for over 200 people!

I made postcards when Hershey & I moved ...

It was a picture of me & her sitting on our new front porch which was all nicely decorated for Halloween. I don't have a copy on my work PC.

I think it's fine to insert something in the TY.

I think it would be perfect to include with your wedding Thank yous. Like you said, you aren't going to do another complete mailing to all those people any time soon.

Try to include all your contact information that you feel anyone would wnat/need (ie e-mail address, phone , street address, etc) on the card.

I actually got a postcard in the mail from someone who changed their address. The front of the postcard was a pic. of their house, and on the back it had their new address with their names. It was kinda cute.

you should do both at the same time, you will save a lot of time and trouble!
