Change of plans! two choices of dates now..HELP!

I was originally an 08'er and we just found out some news...Im pregnant! soooo the wedding is now moved up to this August..2 choices
Thurs before Labor day ..august 30th..7-12
Monday..Labor day 4-9 ..
Thurs Im worried about that people will feel that they have to take off too much of work and Mon im worried about that people will be away and have to go to work the next day..its been crazy..let me know what you girls think..thanks!

Monday is more like a Sunday because you know that everyone (for the most part) will have off work. But - since it's short notice, people might already have commitments on that day.

Soooo - I say Thursday!

Aww- that's so great- Congratulations!

IMO- Thursday is better. That way- your guests will have an excuse to start their labor day weekend early!

this means you wont be my date twin anymore...
i voted for the Thursday b/c a lot of people might already have plans for Labor day.

BUT you could call around and see when everyone 'important' is available

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! How exciting.

Hmm, difficult choice. Our friends got married last year on Monday, Memorial Day and it was great so I think that Labor Day Monday would be great for you. However, maybe it's short notice for your guests? I don't know. Also since Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer, people might want to spend that day a specific pre-planned way, so I say go for Thursday evening. Good luck and congrats!!!

I picked Thursday because I know that I prefer to start the long weekend with a big party then end it. People are more reserved when they know they have to work the next day.

although i have never been to a thursday wedding i think i would chose that one.

i was in a wedding on labor day and getting hair and makeup done was a task. we had to pay extra to have the salon open on a monday of a holiday. just something else to consider.
