Changing BM flowers... I think (with pics & Q's)!

Original post by CaMacho

Well with less than 5 weeks to go why not make myself (and my florist) crazy!

My bouquet is a mix of peonies, callas and orchids and I want the BM's to have 1 type of flower in their bouquets. I originally wanted my BM's to carry pale pink mini callas, but now i'm leaning more towards pink peonies.

I was off on Friday and was playing around with photoshop (these are the BM dresses):

Original idea: callas
Girls w/ Callas

New idea: peonies
Girls w/ peonies (will be lighter pinks)

Need opinions! Should I stick w/ the callas or go with the peonies?

I ADORE Peonies.
I wanted them, but my florist said they tend not to hold up well in the heat - I'm a mid July bride.

Ask them about this..... but if I had to choose between callas and peonies - Peonies hands down!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was just saying to my fiance last night as we walked past a flower shop, if I was getting married in the spring/summer I would DEF DEF DEF go for peonies over callas (I have callas now for my oct wedding)

They are GORGEOUS, colorful, sweet smelling and unique

Please get these instead

I like the callas, because they have clean lines like the dress.

I agree.

Thanks girls!! Wow it seems most like the callas... this was my first choice. I guess i'll wait to see what my florist says too. I really love both flowers.

I agree with the clean lines of the dress and the callas matching better though.

CJStein... your girls bouquets with peonies were gorgeous! How'd they hold up?

im not a fan of callalillys - i prefer peonies- however, with that dress i agree with naunie- the callas look great with the lines of that dress

I'm doing calla's, so clearly I'm biased in that direction!

Both are pretty, but I love the callas! They are so elegant and classy looking, especially with your BM dresses.

we had white peonies and sweet peas for my bm's bouquets. they looked pretty bad by the end of the night.....they lasted about 12 hours though (from noon to midnight). The ones in my bouquet seemed to hold up ok though - I love the look of them.

The calla's are a better match!
