Hey girls..haven't been on here in awhile now that school just started up...Fh and I are now thinking of changing dates to Dec. 2010 since it looks like it's better for our med school schedule...problem is i have already booked several vendors and sent out more than half of the OOT STDs!!! what should i do??? I'm guessing i should start calling the major vendors and see if they are available for that new date.
Jan 2 was awesome until i found out Jan 3 starts rotations in the hospital usually it's the week after ahhhhhh!!!

can the hospital accomodate for that one week ( the week of Jan 2nd)...? I wouldnt change my date otherwise.. i would check with the hospital first and then if that doesnt work out.. then i would make necessary changes...
we change our date and it only cause more confusion ... mind you, we didnt book vendors or send STDs...
i would work inside out first ...

I agree. Explain to them that you already have so much invested in this date for your wedding that the idea of changing it is going to cause you more issues. I'm sure they would understand.

thanks girls for the input...i wish the hospital could accomodate...maybe for a day or two but not a whole week. it's still med school so you need a required amount of weeks per semester...i guess i'm going to keep thinking!

OMGGGG Sandy!!! ahhh that is stressful! I Know how impt ur rotations are and if this happened to FH and I even suggested asking the hospital to work around our schedule, he'd prob think that was nuts, but I agree with the other girls - esp since you have done SOOOOO much planning for ur wedding - that you should ask if you could start 2 - 3 days late at least. I'd be nervous to ask the hospital for a few days off, but they are ppl too and hopefully they understand that this is your WEDDING, not just like a lil party that you can easily move. Are your rotations in Mexico?

most likely my rotations right after the wedding will be in NY or in Puerto Rico...either way i plan on taking off about 2 days after but it's just some of my friends may not be able to come now since they also start that monday after the wedding. All of our family will be there though so I guess that's the most important thing. we werent' taking the HM right after anyways. Hopefully all will work out! you're right they are people too so hopefully they'll understand ? ??

hopefully ur and FH's rotations will be in NY - that will make things a lil easier...when do you find out? Can you request to have them in NY that month?
I see what you're saying about a lot of ur friends not being able to make it....ugh, im sorry are a lot of ur friends in school also?
I know some ppl can be a$$holes, but I really hope they have a heart and can understand how much planning has gone into your wedding and let u start a few days late! Good luck, we're always here for advice or if you need to chat!

OMG I'm so sorry you're going through this Sandy!! This must be really stressful for you. I agree with the other girls, I would talk with the hospital to see if you can start your rotations a few days late (even one day late would be better than nothing)! You have done so much with your wedding so far so hopefully they will understand. Please keep us updated about what you decide!!

Sandy thats crazy. I would talk to them before you make any changes like the other girls suggested. You cant leave us 11ers......I really hope this works out for you and your FH

Definately check with the people in charge of rotations before you make any decisions or get yourself more crazy by having to call vendors. Hope everything works out
