I'm changing into a different dress. Part of it is because I don't want my FH to see me in the real dress during pictures and the other is because my ceremony dress is a trumpet skirt and very very fitted. The second dress is gorgeous, but I will be able to dance in it and really enjoy myself.

FH thinks it's weird that I'm not changing dresses because that's what they do in Chinese wedding but I love my dress and I spent a lot of money on it. lol
Damn straight!!! Our dress is sooo gorgeous!!!! Im gonna be upset that I cant wear it for more than 1 day!!!!! Maybe ill have wedding dress days where I run around my house wearing it after the wedding

Re: changing dresses
I am debating
I looooove my gown...but I think it would be fun to change into something later in the night
I might do it for our 'surprise' after party, our guests do not know we are having a little afterparty/extra hour added on...so I think it would be cool to change it up for that part

Re: changing dresses
i am thinking about changing because my wedding dress is what they call ballroom gown, since i plan on danding and walking around all night i think it would be more practical to chance to something less extravagant ...and i think that will surprise the guests as well.

Re: changing dresses
I would NEVER change my dress. I love it too much and the fact that I only get to wear it for one day is not long enough.

Re: changing dresses
I did not change my dress and I'm very glad I didn't! I LOVED my wedding dress and even though it was heavy and hot as the night went on with all the dancing, it was gorgeous and I am so happy that I wore the ONE dress for me :)
I have been to weddings where brides change into second dresses and I've never really been WOW'd by anyone, so if it's a matter of showing off to your guests, I wouldn't really bank on anyone being impressed by it. If it's for your own comfort, then I guess it makes sense but at the end of the day, it's ONE day. I saw one brides change twice during her wedding and personally, I think it was distracting and clearly she didnt like any of her dresses enough to keep any of them on for longer than an hour.

Nah I love my dress too much to change it. Plus there's no way I'm spending more money on another one

Re: changing dresses
i may change into a short, easy to dance in dress for like the last hour of the party so i can dance more easily. Only if I can find a very inexpensive dress.
