I probably will, its tradition in my family to have an 'after dress'. It will also help if I leave for the HM the following day so I don't have to worry about someone lugging it from the hotel before I leave. If I do, It'll be very inexpensive though..I put the big bucks toward the gown.

I considered it b/c I want to dance. But I spent so much time and energy on the dress that I have, and which I will never wear again, that I am staying in it. I just plan on practice dancing in it before the wedding

I guess the closer I get the more my feet are getting cold lol so I am throwing ideas around. Part of me WANTS to get a second dress.... and the other part of me says no way the dress I have is gorgeous and paid enough for it I should wear it the whole night......

I rocked that thing till I had to peel it off of me at 5AM!!!!! I searched for the perfect dress and found it, I personally didn't have any desire to wear a second dress JMPO

I wear my huge and heavy dress until a hour before our reception ended and changed to a something similar to my wedding gown only shorter and lighter for after party/celebration which lasted til midnight.

Yup, will be changing into a second dress. Haven't purchased anything yet, but planning on getting a dress that is easy to dance in and something that I will be able to wear again at another formal occasion.

I dont think 2nd dress is worth it. I bought one because ti was tradition and wore it, BUT by the time I changed, most of our guests had already LEFT!! LMAO so no one even saw me in it. Me. DH and the inside of our car saw it. Thats it. I wish i'd never changed because would have been cute to go home and walk over threshhold (not carry cause we live in a walk-up lmao) in my wedding dress.

Re: Changing into a second dress?

im not. i know im going to end up spending quite a bit of money on the dress i choose and i cant see spending all of that money just to walk down the aisle in, so im definitly keeping it on for the reception. im just going to find a dress that ill be able to party in as well!
