FH and I have two registries, at Macys and Fortunoffs. They were opened a year ago for our e-party. We got most of the stuff from the Macys registry, and now we need to go and register for bedding bath etc. for the shower etc. Here is the question- I am thinking of closing the Macys registry and opening up one at Crate & Barrel instead. Do you think this will totally confuse people, since they know we had a registry at Macys and now it will be gone??

DH and I are registered at Macy's and Crate & Barrel. We like both stores and what they offer. I don't think it would confuse any of your guests. Just spread the word by mouth that your Macy's registry is closed. However, another option is to keep your Macy's registry open by not adding more items and open a C&B registry. Just a thought.

Why not just do all three?
I would do all three, because while C&B has great stuff, a lot of it goes on backorder and gets discontinued quickly....I think you should have a more reliable one as a backup.

I did not think I could do three, etiquette-wise. I did not want to look greedy That would be the best case scenario, to keep the two we have and then open the C&B one. Can I do that? I am psyched if I can, I have been drooling over stuff in the C&B store!

I too am registered at C&B! I love their things!!!! I would keep the Macy's open for any guests that may not hear about the switch, but dont add anything new. Have your family tell people that there is a new list and people will go flocking. They will want to have more of a variety. Good luck! Enjoy the gifts.

I have 4 registeries- Macys C&B, Fortunoffs and BBY each place had different stuff I wanted.
I think you should just keep all of them open.
