I'm on the fence. I bought gorgeous shoes to wear that are quite high - nearly 4 inches... I love them but afraid that my feet will fall off by the end of th day... I was thinking of getting ballet flats for the reception...
but how do i do this with altering...

I'm in the same boat as you, but a smaller heel. I'd like to change, but I also don't want my dress to drag on the floor.

Re: changing shoes?
My plan right now is to buy a pair of platform flip flops from Old Navy. This way the height won't be that differnt, but they'll still be more comfortable. I don't want to change out of my pretty shoes, but I want the option, just in case.

Re: changing shoes?
It depends on the shoes I get for the wedding... I'm still looking, but if I find a comfy shoe that's beautiful I'll keep them on all night and if I fall in love with uncomfy high heels then yes.... I'm gonna change.

Re: changing shoes?
i'm all confused on what to do... i had foot surgery on both of my feet last year so i try not to wear anythign too high or too pointy -- of course the shoes I fell in love with are high and pointy and now nothing can compete... maybe I'll keep looking....

Yeah I'm doing a slipper basket and am ordering platform slippers for my BM's so their dresses wont drag on the floor

Re: changing shoes?
I'm thinking of getting platform flip-flops too so that the height won't be much of an issue.
My friend changed at a wedding into flats and looking back, she wished she didn't because her dress dragged and you can tell in videos that she wasn't wearing the right shoes.

Re: changing shoes?
I most likely will be changing my shoes but AFTER the garter part of the wedding I LOVE my shoes (just about as much as I love my dress) and want to have them on for that part. My heals are also about 4 inches -- so by then I'm sure I will be looking to change them.
Where can I get the platform slippers?? Does anyone have picutes of them???

I got balet slippers to change into. If my dress drags it drags, I want to make sure I am comfy.

Break em in around the house, this way it won't be soo painful. I'm doing a slight platform flip flop as well, because I don't wanna be stepping all over my gown. Knowing my clumsy self, I'll trip over myself
