Changing the wedding date.. from spring to fall..

It looks like I will be changing from May to Oct 2005, when it's offical I will explain more, but it's nothing bad, so please don't worry..

But I have a question..

Right now for the May wedding, we have periwinkle for the girls.. with ivory roses (some lavendar) and for me all lavendar

For the cp's they will be all ivory roses with purple wax flowers, and lavedar roses around the base with votives..

I think this color scheme is too light for a fall wedding..

Any opinions? suggestions?

did u already order the dresses? if so, i wouldn't worry.
i think you can use the color periwinkle all throughout the year and you shouldn't stress about it!

IF however you want to change the colors, call the place you bought the dresses and they can contact the manufacturer for you. i did it!

In the end whatever you decide will be fine - honestly - it's your wedding. I have had tons of friends who were set on particular colors and paid no attention to seasons - and no one made a comment.

With that said I think that if you are considering the season and are worried about colors then you may want to consider some of the fall colors like burgandy - or maybe even a plum color to work with the lavender and ivory. That might be an idea to consider.

Have you already ordered the dresses? The flowers can be changed so that's not a problem.

I think the colors will look great. Nowadays anything goes! Do what you want. Hope everything works out.

No we didn't order any dresses yet, we planned on doing that in sept .. so i have time to change it..

I just feel like i should go for a darker look to blend in with the fall flowers at the swan club..

Here are some pictures from an Oct 26th wedding at the swan club

Sorry..we must have been posting at the same time.

Since you haven't ordered them, you have time to change your colors...if you love the Periwinkle though...I think you should go for that then. It's what makes you happy.

Honestly.. I don't know what colors I want.. yes I love the periwinkel, but it was more because FH wanted it.. lol

I love the wine color dresses and also the chocolate brown ones are pretty too...

ETA: the pictures are from Oct 26 2003..

i think if you can change the color of the dresses i would for sure. i love the fall wedding look and the golds and browns and reds that are used. thats jmo though

From the pictures you posted I'm kinda drawn to say that a chocolate or a wine would be really nice - would you consider a plum with lavender accents?

You can have any kind of flowers and theme you want. It's your wedding...you choose.

I totally agree.. not sure about the plum it would have to be the right shade of plum..
I'm thinking more of the wine, would pop in all the greens and browns at the swan club..

Ok - I'll be completely honest with you - I am a sucker for wine/cranberry/burgandy. I love those colors - hence my wedding colors being burgandy/wine and ivory. I think it'll look so romantic and elegant for a fall wedding. Laurie is doing my flowers too and she's been so great in helping me pick coordinating things. You can have lots of fun with the fall colors!

Funny enough before the whole peri thing got started, I wanted wine... so if we go back to that.. i already know what I want.. so I'm not too worried.. just wanted to get some unbias opinions before the battle starts with FH..lol

hmm, that might be interesting.. FH really wants something in the blues.. but I don't like baby blue.. if you find a pic that would be great..

I don't it really matters if your color scheme fits the season. I had chocolate bridesmaid gowns in April because I love that color. I just added peach flowers and peach shawls and it made it more spring-like. I think your choice should be something that you LOVE-- don't worry about the season!
